After checking both the ‘Enable monitoring for this application’ and ‘Enforce Acense application management’, Scense will start monitoring the starting of the mapped application program files.
Whenever a mapped program is started, the Scense Application Monitoring service will check whether the application program was started through a Scense managed shortcut or not.
When the application was started through a Scense managed shortcut (or FTA) the application is allowed to start. If the application was started otherwise, the starting of the application will be aborted.
This way the administrator can restrict the starting of applications by using conditions within Scense and thus prevent the use of an application on certain times, locations, devices etc.
