The App-V action provides several operations that enable manipulation of App-V 4 applications (Formerly known as SoftGrid) and the new App-V 5 applications.
Depending on the context (App-V 4.x or App-V 5) these actions will require different parameters.
Some operations are not valid for App-V 5.
Add will add an App-V application to the App-V client without consulting the server.
Adding an application to the App-V client will require a valid OSD- or APPV file. |

SetIcon allows setting or changing the icon for the specified App-V application. This icon will appear in the application list within the App-V client management console.

Install will fully load the ‘application default’ SFT or AppV into the client cache.
This operation can be used to fully load an App-V application directly from the SFT- or APPV file attached to the application onto a laptop computer for off-line use. |

Launch will trigger the App-V client to launch the virtual environment using the specified OSD file.
Not valid for App-V 5. |

Load is similar to Install, but offers the possibility to specify an alternate OSD- or APPV file. | |
Lock will lock the App-V application in the App-V client cache.
Not valid for App-V 5. |

Refresh will trigger the App-V client to refresh the published applications for the current user. The client will query the specified server. | |
Remove will delete an application from the App-V client. This operation may require administrative privileges and should probably be run as ODS. | |
Reset will remove the current user’s settings and publishing information from the App-V client. | |
Unload will unload the specified application and all other applications in the package from the App-V client cache. | |
Unlock will unlock the App-V application in the App-V client cache.
