When immediate action makes the difference

…because waiting is not a strategy

IT teams are used to waiting.

You make a change. You publish it. Then you wait for the next sync. You refresh a few screens. You stare at a device. You wonder whether the update is working or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon somewhere in the cloud.

worXpace takes a faster route.

With Real-time Updates, administrators can apply workspace changes almost at once. That means less waiting, faster testing, and a more responsive digital workspace. It can also make a real difference when a situation calls for immediate action.

What is realtime management?

Realtime management means that changes made in worXpace can reach connected devices without waiting for the next scheduled data synchronization.

An administrator might update an application, adjust a setting, or change part of the workspace configuration. worXpace then sends the updated data directly to subscribed devices.

The result is simple: changes appear immediately.
This is especially useful during testing. Instead of making a change and waiting for the normal sync cycle, an administrator can see the result much sooner. That makes troubleshooting easier and keeps configuration work moving.

How Real-time Updates work

When an administrator changes something in the worXpace environment, the worXpace cloud service sends a push notification to devices with an active Real-time Update license.

That notification already contains the modified data.
This detail matters. The device does not need to start a full data synchronization each time a change is made. That helps prevent unnecessary traffic to the cloud service, especially when many devices are connected.

The normal synchronization schedule continues in the background. So, even when a device misses a real-time notification, the next regular sync will still bring it up to date.

Fast when possible. Reliable when needed. A rather sensible combination.

When every second counts

Most workspace changes are planned. Some are not.

Imagine that an administrator discovers a potentially unsafe application, a risky configuration, or another issue linked to a malware incident. Waiting for the next scheduled synchronization may leave users exposed longer than necessary.

With Real-time Updates, the administrator can publish an urgent change and send it promptly to subscribed devices. Depending on the response plan, that change could remove access to an application, adjust a configuration, start a protective task, or notify users of the action they need to take.

Realtime management does not replace endpoint protection, security monitoring, or a proper incident response process. It does, however, give administrators a faster way to deliver approved changes when timing matters. In an emergency, that shorter response window can help limit risk and support a more coordinated response.

Because malware rarely checks the IT calendar before causing trouble.

A smoother experience for users

Some changes affect an active user session.

In those cases, a Real-time Update can trigger a Workspace Refresh scenario. This allows the workspace to update while the user continues working.

For example, a newly available application may appear in the user’s workspace without forcing the user to sign out or restart the device.

The same mechanism can also help urgent workspace changes take effect with less disruption. Users can remain productive while IT responds in the background.

Because nobody enjoys the message: “Please restart your computer again.”

Why administrators benefit as well

Real-time management is quite valuable for administrators.

During application testing or workspace configuration, small delays quickly add up. A change that takes only a minute to create may take much longer to verify when every test depends on a scheduled sync.

Real-time Updates shorten that feedback loop.

Administrators can:

  • test changes more quickly;
  • confirm results sooner;
  • correct mistakes faster;
  • respond more quickly to urgent situations;
  • publish updates with greater confidence;
  • spend less time waiting for devices to synchronize.

This makes day-to-day workspace management more flexible and gives IT teams a faster route when an unexpected issue demands attention.

Built for modern workspace management

worXpace combines User Workspace Management and Application Delivery in one cloud service.
Organizations can manage applications, settings, and workspace resources across different devices and locations without maintaining a dedicated on-premises management back end.

Real-time Updates fit naturally into that approach. Central control is useful, but central control that responds quickly is even better.

IT teams can manage who receives a change, when it should happen, and what action should be performed. Real-time delivery then helps those decisions reach the workspace without unnecessary delay.

Less waiting, more managing

Realtime management is not only about speed.
It is about giving administrators quicker feedback, reducing delays, and making workspace changes easier to test and control. It also provides a faster delivery path when an urgent response cannot wait for the next scheduled synchronization.

With worXpace Real-time Updates, IT teams can respond faster while regular synchronization continues to provide a dependable safety net.
The workspace stays current. Users stay productive. Administrators spend less time watching progress bars.

And when every minute matters, that is more than a welcome update.
